RSPCA in Rochdale refurbishes kitten and mother pod

Date: Thursday 12 February 2015

We are excited to announce that we’ve donated more than £500 to the RSPCA’s Rochdale and District Branch to help support its work in the local community.

The centre, which is located just a short distance from our brand new Pennine Gate development, has used the money to refurbish a kitten and mother pod.

David Canavan, Chairman of the RSPCA Rochdale, comments: “As one of the largest centres in the North of England, winter is a difficult time for us and, as you can imagine, post-Christmas we are faced with a lot of pressure.

“Taylor Wimpey’s kind donation has enabled us to refurbish a pod and really will make a difference to our cats and kittens.”

The RSPCA attends approximately 250,000 cases of animal cruelty and receives around 1.4 million calls per year.

Chloe Dunn, Head of Sales at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, explains: “As animal lovers, we understand the importance of the RSPCA’s work and it’s astonishing how many cases they attend year-on-year.

“We are thrilled that our donation will make such a difference and hope this helps them to continue with their amazing work in the Rochdale area – where our Pennine Gate development is currently taking shape.”

David concludes: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey for their support on behalf of the whole centre – it truly is very much appreciated. Support of this kind really does make a difference to the animals which need our care!”

Pennine Gate offers a choice of beautiful three and four–bedroom homes.
