Drivers won’t have any trouble seeing cyclists from The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College in Swindon as they pedal safely to school – thanks to our donation of 30 hi-visibility vests to the school, to help promote bike safety.
Our donation supports the school’s own campaign to get students on their bicycles and promote a healthy, fun, quick and cost-effective way of getting to school and back.
Nikki Gibson, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build – and we are completely dedicated to safety on our sites too.
“So this donation, which will promote safe cycling at a local school, seemed an excellent opportunity for us to help out. We hope it will help students stay safe while cycling to school.”
Helen Dixon, Acting Head of Sixth Form at the school, says: “We are a rural school and sixth form and as such, many of our students ride their bikes or motorbikes to school. We are very conscious of the increasing amount of traffic on the roads and encourage our students to travel safely.
“These hi-visibility vests will make our students much more noticeable and we are very grateful for the interest and support of Taylor Wimpey.”
There's a superb selection of three and four-bedroom homes currently at Wichelstowe in Swindon.
