WEB Taylor Wimpey South Midlands - Woodford Meadows - Swimming Pool Donation

Our team at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands provided a £500 cash injection to Woodford Halse C.E. Primary Academy in Northamptonshire, to help keep the school’s swimming pool open.

Marie Parkinson, a founding member of the Woodford Halse Academy Swimming Pool (WHASP) Committee, explains: “In May 2016 we found out that the school did not have enough money to open the swimming pool for the summer term, so myself and a few other parents decided to set up the WHASP Committee to raise funds to cover the upkeep – including cleaning and refilling the pool.

“The facilities are looking quite tired these days so our long-term goal is to improve them and get things to such a standard that we can open the pool up to the wider community and to other schools and local groups in the area.

“We contacted Taylor Wimpey for their support and we were absolutely delighted when they said they wanted to help! From our point of view, it means the world to have such a well-known company like Taylor Wimpey supporting us.

“We’d like to say a really big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their donation – hopefully this is just the beginning of a great relationship and an example of how we can work together to improve things for the wider community.”

Gareth Jacob, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, says: “We’re committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes, which is why we were more than happy to provide a £500 donation to the Woodford Halse C.E. Academy’s swimming pool fund.

“The WHASP Committee work very hard to ensure the swimming pool is up and running for the pupils and we wish them the best of luck with future fundraising.”

Our Woodford Meadows development in Woodford Halse currently offers a choice of three and four-bedroom houses.
