Stratford-upon-Avon School receives new sports kit
Pupils at Stratford-upon-Avon School will be sporting new athletics vests after securing a sponsorship deal with us.
Our Midlands business unit, which is currently building high-quality new homes at Midsummer Park on the outskirts of the town, donated £750 towards the new kit to be worn by pupils competing in athletics and other sports events such as basketball.
The vests were designed by Sam Calcott, Physical Education Curriculum Leader at the school, and are adorned with the school’s shield crest and its colours of navy, light blue, red, and yellow, together with the Taylor Wimpey logo.
The donation arrives at a pivotal time for Stratford-upon-Avon School as it will be hosting the South Warwickshire Athletics Competition on Thursday 22nd June, where it will be competing against more than 400 pupils aged 11 to 15 from schools across the county.
Sam says: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this donation. We’re tremendously grateful for their support and it’s appreciated by the whole school.
“We’re very proud of our extracurricular and sporting activities – three of our athletes are currently ranked in the top ten in the country for their age group – so it’s a fantastic way of recognising their achievements as well as inspiring pupils in the future.”
Neil Wallace, Headteacher at Stratford-upon-Avon School, adds: “We’re delighted that Taylor Wimpey has kindly offered to support the school by sponsoring our new athletics vests. This is a great way for them to contribute to the local community.”
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “As a considerate, responsible local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes, and we were more than happy to make this donation to Stratford-upon-Avon School.
“We hope the pupils enjoy wearing their new athletics vests and we wish them all the very best for their future sports events and their studies.”
There’s a superb selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available at Midsummer Park.
