Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is supporting a community clean up day which will take place on Saturday 17th May in Dalkeith, Midlothian.

St David’s Parent Council has organised the clean up to refresh the playground at St David’s Primary School.

More than 20 volunteers from the local community have committed their time to cleaning, painting, gardening and creating new playground features for the benefit of the pupils.

We have donated £1,000 and will be offering the services of two skilled tradesmen to help on the day.

Tony Cervi, Chair of St David’s Parent Council, says: “We are delighted by the response of parents and members of the community and we’re confident about making a significant difference to the playground.

“It’s going to be a great day. We’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their support”

Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, says: “This is an innovative project that we’re really happy to be supporting. Our development at The Scholars is just next door, so this is great to way for us to extend our involvement in the local community, and our team is really looking forward to what will be a productive and successful day.”

Volunteers who would like to help with the clean up can come along to St David’s Primary School, Kippielaw, Lauder Road, Dalkeith, on Saturday 17th May between 9am and 5pm.
