Stokesley Cricket Club in Middlesbrough has received a cash boost of £500 from our North Yorkshire team.
The club will use the donation to help fund its junior division and support much-needed ground improvements.
Mark Smith, chairman at Stokesley Cricket Club, says: “At Stokelsey Cricket Club we are committed to nurturing young talent, and this donation from Taylor Wimpey will help us to continue with this work.
“As you can imagine, running a cricket club can be incredibly expensive, so we are extremely grateful for this support.”
Stokesley Cricket Club has been at the forefront of the North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier Cricket League for more than 40 years, and has teams for all ages – ranging from nine years, right through to adults.
Debbie Whittingham, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, says: “We’re thrilled to be supporting the club with this donation, and jumped at the chance to help develop the talented cricketers in the region.
“We understand how difficult it can be, and the expense involved with running an organisation of this nature, so wanted to assist in any way possible.”
Mark concludes: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for this support, on behalf of the whole club – it really is much appreciated.”
