Corbridge Preschool has received a cash boost from our North East team to help improve pupils’ learning and development.

Our £500 donation will help the school to purchase new storage equipment as well as craft supplies and toys. This follows another £500 donation made by us last year that helped Corbridge C of E First School build sand pits and water trays to help promote social interaction among young pupils.

Claire Milburn, preschool manager at Corbridge Preschool, says: “We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generosity. We try to keep our fees low at the preschool to ensure childcare is accessible to all families, and so purchasing new equipment doesn’t come easy.

“We rely on donations and second-hand toys and equipment, so to be able to purchase new materials for the children is great. These resources have a huge impact on our students’ development, enhancing our learning environment and making toys and purposeful play more accessible.”

Established over 30 years ago, Corbridge Preschool is a small, community-based preschool located on the grounds of Corbridge C of E First School, providing affordable and quality childcare and education for children aged between two and four.

Karl Morton, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North East, says: “Supporting local communities near to our developments is something we are very proud of, and when we heard Corbridge Preschool was in need of new equipment and materials to enhance young children’s development, we were more than happy to show our support.

“Our nearby development, The Potteries, is located just minutes away from the school, so we’re sure we will see many of our future residents attending the preschool and first school for years to come.”

There’s a superb range of three, four and five-bedroom properties currently available at The Potteries.
