Our Taylor Tiger mascot made a special appearance at Stotfold Festival Fete.

Children at the fete, held at Hitchin Road Recreation Ground in Stotfold, were delighted to meet the cuddly mascot.

Taylor Tiger marks our sponsorship of Woburn Safari Park’s new enclosure and shelter for two Amur tigers.

Taylor Tiger’s appearance is the latest big-cat themed community event we have organised in the area – in May we organised readings of classic children’s story The Tiger Who Came To Tea for St Mary’s CofE Academy pupils in the showhome at our Beauchamp Mill development.

Stotfold Festival Fete is a community event which raises money for charities which help and benefit local people. In the past, Macmillan Cancer Support, Keech Hospice Care and Garden House Hospice have been supported, while this year’s event has raised funds for the British Heart Foundation.

St Mary’s CofE Academy also donates the collection from their summer concerts to the year’s chosen charity.

Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “As a local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build and we are delighted to have played our part at Stotfold Festival Fete, all for a very worthy cause.

“The children very much enjoyed meeting Taylor Tiger, who tells me he had a fantastic time at the fete. We look forward to continuing our support for groups and organisations in the local area.”
