Taylor Wimpey Lends A Helping Hand To Cranbrook Potluck With £500 Donation
Taylor Wimpey provided a helping hand towards a community group in Cranbrook, near Exeter, by donating £500 to Cranbrook PotLuck.
The most recent Cranbrook PotLuck event, on Wednesday 26th April, proved to be a great success for families and friends who enjoyed a free evening of food and creativity.
Taylor Wimpey, which is building new homes at Cranbrook, got in touch with the local group, Creative Wellbeing Cranbrook, after spotting details about its Cranbrook PotLuck initiative in the local newspaper.
Cate Barlemoor, Founder of Creative Wellbeing Cranbrook and organiser of the monthly Cranbrook PotLucks, says: “I’m incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this kind donation towards our local PotLuck events.
“I’m overjoyed that they’ve provided such a generous contribution. We’ll be spending the money wisely on block bookings, extending our public liability insurance and it will pay for poster designs and printing, the main thing is to keep the event free of charge!”
The PotLuck is a local event run by the community, for the community, so people really become involved in running it, as well as bringing food to share. Everyone is encouraged to take part in setting up and putting away, as it’s important that children see adults working together as a team, and aspire to do the same.
Cate explains: “The Cranbrook PotLuck is a relaxed, alcohol free space for people to come and have an evening out with family, friends and neighbours without the expense of a restaurant.
“These events build connections and trust in the community. The town of Cranbrook is diverse and home to many nationalities, so we are looking forward to sampling some national dishes!”
Clare Brimble, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, says: “We are delighted to be supporting Cranbrook PotLuck by donating these funds to help this important local event continue.
“As a local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes, and this is an excellent example of how we can help.”
There’s a stunning selection of new homes currently available to reserve at Cranbrook, including two-bedroom apartments from £167,500, two-bedroom terraced houses from £192,500 and three-bedroom townhouses from £260,000.
The development is located off London Road, Exeter, Devon, EX5 2DY, and open Saturday to Thursday from 11am to 5.30pm and Fridays from 1pm to 5.30pm. Alternatively, the Sales Executive can be contacted on 01392 349980.
