We’ve donated a £500 cash boost to Normanton-based Snydale RDA in Yorkshire to fund new horse saddles for the group.
With over 27 members across two weekly classes, Snydale RDA opened in November 2014 and currently has six horses that are used to provide therapy for people with disabilities.
Karen Bullock, chair and instructor at Snydale RDA, says: “Through our classes, disabled children have the opportunity to ride horses, improve their balance and gain more confidence.
“Without support from local businesses, we would really struggle with running costs so we’re extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation, which will fund two new saddles that will be more comfortable for the horses and riders.
“On behalf of the committee members and riders, we’d like to say a huge thanks to Taylor Wimpey!”
Snydale RDA caters for children from the age of four that have physical or mental disabilities, including Down’s syndrome, ADHD, depression and autism.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “When we heard about Snydale RDA, we couldn’t believe the fantastic work it is doing to help children with disabilities in the local area.
“With our new Colliers Court development so nearby the riding school, we’re thrilled to help them out with a donation and hope the children enjoy riding with the new saddles.”
There’s a currently a selection of two -bedroom homes available at Colliers Court in Featherstone.
