Wath Upon Dearne RUFC First XV will be starting the new season with the full support of local housebuilder Taylor Wimpey behind them as they strive for victory in the Yorkshire Division II league.
The team last year won the Yorkshire Division III league, the Yorkshire Silver Trophy (pictured) and the Jerry Roberts trophy, and are hungry for more success.
The housebuilder, who has a development on Manvers Lakeside in Wath, has sponsored the team to the tune of £750 and will appear on their new shirts.
Steve Corns, Chairman at Wath Upon Dearne RUFC, commented: “As an amateur team we’re very grateful for any sponsorship which we receive so this sponsorship is brilliant. The aim of our recently formed sponsorship and fundraising committee is to reward club members for their great performance last season with professional new kits and training gear and equipment.”
Anne Bagshaw, Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire sales and marketing director, said: “We are very happy to sponsor the Wath team and we always enjoying helping out in the local community. We wish the lads every success in the coming season.”
Kingfishers Walk boasts a stunning collection of two, three and four bedroom homes, with prices starting from £106,246 using Taylor Wimpey’s Easystart shared equity scheme.
