We donated £500 towards the Tarporley Schools Business Trust’s 14th annual charity golf day and gala dinner.
The event, which took place on Thursday 12th June at the Macdonald Portal Championship Golf Club in Taporley, Cheshire, was held in aid of a number of local organisations.
Sean Taylor, chairman of trustees at the Tarporley Schools Business Trust, says: “Our annual charity golf day and gala dinner is one of the main fundraising events for both of our Tarporley schools.
“We heavily rely on funding from local organisations and with Taylor Wimpey’s Mulberry Place development now taking shape right in the heart of the village, it’s great for them to get so involved.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey for all of their help as without support like this, the event just wouldn’t be possible.”
The annual charity golf day and gala dinner has been raising money for numerous organisations in the area, including Hope House Children’s Hospital, Tarporley War Memorial Hospital and both Tarporley Community High School and Tarporley CE Primary School, since 2000.
Lynne Vogel, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, says: “Tarporley is a beautiful village and we’re absolutely loving getting involved with the local community.
“The annual golf day and gala dinner has been running for quite some time and it’s clear that the local residents look forward to it each year so we were more than happy to help out.”
