We welcomed teachers from the Macmillan Academy in Middlesbrough to a business workshop at our Morley Carr Farm development in Yarm.

The workshop provided business studies teachers with a valuable insight into our business processes and marketing practises, to demonstrate how the skills they teach work in practise here at Taylor Wimpey.

Debbie Whittingham, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, says: “We were delighted to run a workshop with Macmillan Academy as it is a fantastic local school.

“We offered information on the day-to-day working of our business and then took the group around the development to view some of our plots at various build stages.”

Siobhan Baker, Head of Business Studies at Macmillan Academy, comments: “We are always looking for new ways to enrich our curriculum, and our workshop with Taylor Wimpey was extremely informative.

“It was invaluable for us to understand how the business operates as this has given us some fantastic real-world examples to share with our pupils”

Debbie concludes: “We are thrilled that the teachers enjoyed the training session with our team and are confident that the students will benefit too.”

Morley Carr Farm has a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes available.
