The Children’s Society, a charity that fights against child poverty and neglect, bought smiles to a few more faces this Christmas thanks to a festive gift drive held by our Manchester business unit.
People at our head office collected more than 30 presents for the charity to share with children across the region. The Children’s Society will share our gifts with youngsters to ensure they have something to open on Christmas day.
Gina Howard, admin manager for The Children’s Society in Greater Manchester, said: “These gifts will make a massive difference to vulnerable children over Christmas. For the children we work with it can be a very difficult time so we do everything we can to make this day a little more special. We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who donated from Taylor Wimpey Manchester and wish them a Merry Christmas from all of us!”
Chloe Dunn, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “The Children’s Society does a vital job across the region and is a very worthy cause to support. The charity was so grateful earlier in the year when we partnered for our Easter Eggstravaganza appeal, which is why we wanted to do what we could to help bring the children a little extra joy at this time of year. We hope our contribution will help brighten the youngsters’ Christmases as this is the perfect time of year to give back to others.”
