TrustFord Barnsley has achieved its latest charity challenge thanks to a £500 sponsorship deal with our Yorkshire business unit.

In a bid to raise money for charity partner Cancer Research UK, the dealership has successfully bought and converted an everyday vehicle into a professional track-car with students from Barnsley College for just £1,000.

Glen Kenington, General Manager at TrustFord Barnsley, says: “Thanks to this kind donation from Taylor Wimpey we’ve managed to accomplish our goal and create an incredibly high-quality track car that we’re very proud of.

“Cancer Research UK is a very important charity to everyone at TrustFord Barnsley and we hope that this car will go a long way to raising more funds for this worthwhile cause.

“We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their help and look forward to spending the rest of the year showing it off to car enthusiasts across the country.”

The car, which was unveiled at the 2017 TrustFord performance day in May, will now spend the rest of the year attending events across the country before being auctioned off next year to raise even more money for the charity.

Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, adds: “Every year thousands of people across Yorkshire and the UK are affected by cancer, therefore we were delighted to be able to help TrustFord out with their fundraising.

“The car looks absolutely fantastic and we can’t wait to see how much money it manages to raise in the auction.”

Our nearby Kingstone Grange development currently offers a range of three-bedroom homes.
