Our West Midlands regional business has helped a junior football team get match ready by sponsoring its new kit for next season.

Cresswell Colts U10s, a popular football club based in Bloxwich, can now look forward to starting the 2014/2015 season in their brand new strip thanks to the £500 donation from us.

David Smith, Manager of Cresswell Colts U10s, says: “I’ve run the squad since the lads were seven and they came through our football academy. Last season they got promoted to the next league after finishing in second place and I’m pleased with how the lads have worked hard in training to provide some good results.

“Once they leave the academy, it’s down to us to fund the training equipment and football kits for the team. We do our own fundraising by taking part in bag packs at supermarkets and other events, but it is quite a lot of money to find for a new kit.

“It’s fantastic that Taylor Wimpey has agreed to sponsor our kit, which we will be able to play in from this summer, and I hope it will inspire the lads to go on to score many more goals!”

Cresswell Colts FC was formed over 30 years ago and has players aged from five to 16. David’s squad, the Cresswell Colts, was formed for the 2011/2012 season.

Elaine Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re delighted to offer our support to the young players of Cresswell Colts FC and wish them every success in their new league for the coming season.”

We are currently building new homes at our Saddlers Brook development in Rushall, Walsall, nearby to Cresswell Colts FC.
