Youth footballers at Warsash Wasps Sports and Football Club in Hampshire are celebrating after securing another four-figure sponsorship deal with us.

Our Southern Counties business unit, which is currently building high-quality homes at Strawberry Fields in Locks Heath near Warsash, has provided a generous £1,500 cash boost to the U13s team at the Warsash Wasps, to help purchase new kit, training jackets, match balls and equipment.

This is the second time we have sponsored the young footballers, having previously donated £1,000 to the then-U11s team in 2014.

Paul Carroll, U13s team manager at Warsash Wasps, says: “We’re thrilled with the donation, the club is run solely by volunteers and we rely heavily on fundraising to keep the youngsters playing football.

“The team love their new kit and the training jackets are ideal for keeping the players warm during the colder winter months!”

The U13s squad have been playing together for three years and Paul has been managing the team from the beginning. He adds: “We’re currently doing really well, the squad play every Saturday and they’re at the top of the league which is great.

“On behalf of everyone I’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey, we’re all really grateful for the new kit and equipment.”

Roz Wells, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, says: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the team for a second time and we wish them the best of luck with their future matches!

“We’re always keen to support local clubs and organisations that play an important role within the community, and football team sponsorship is a great example of how we can do this.”

The Warsash Wasps are made up of 28 teams with approximately 400 players, making them one of the largest community football clubs in Hampshire. They were established in 1977 and look forward to celebrating their 40th anniversary of providing local football next year.

There’s a stunning selection of one, two, three, and four-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at Strawberry Fields.
