A new Under 8s football team in East Sussex are sporting their first kit thanks to a donation from Taylor Wimpey South East.
We gave £440 to Eastbourne Town Football Club’s recently-created junior age-group team to pay for new shirts, shorts and fleece tops for the 13 players.
Team manager Lee Watson says: “The team was set up in summer 2013 so this is the players’ first kit. They are really excited and enthusiastic, and this new kit has really made them all feel like part of the team.
“Everyone involved in the club would like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this helpful donation.”
Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so when we heard that Eastbourne Town’s new Under 8s team had been set up, we were only too pleased to pay for kits for the players.
“I wish the team all the best for the rest of the football season – and I hope their new kit helps to give them a competitive edge on the pitch!”
Eastbourne Town Football Club was founded in 1881 and runs more than 25 teams at all levels, from the new Under 8s through to the first team.
