Our South Wales team has donated a new outdoor play kitchen to Ysgol Iolo Morganwg in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan.
The Welsh Medium primary school, which is a neighbour of our Clare Garden Village development, received material to the value of £1,000, which was then used to build a mud kitchen for the outdoor play area. Providing a fun space for the pupils to play, the mud kitchen is also a place they can develop social skills and practice team working.
Sara Rees, Headteacher at Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, said: “The children really love using the mud kitchen and it’s an incredibly valuable resource for our outdoor area. We can already see that it has helped the children develop numerous social skills, as well as encouraging them to develop their language abilities - all through having fun, which is fantastic! On behalf of everyone at Ysgol Iolo Morganwg I would like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this wonderful donation to our school.”
Sara Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Wales, said: “It’s important for us to support the local community, especially in these difficult times, and we’re delighted to have helped Ysgol Iolo Morganwg. We feel very passionate about making a positive impact in the areas in which we build and it’s great to see the mud kitchen being enjoyed by local children, after such a tough year.”
