We donate PPE to care homes in Basingstoke and Bournemouth

Date: Wednesday 10 June 2020

Two care facilities in Basingstoke and Bournemouth have received care packages and donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) from our West London team.

We donated protective face masks, gloves, protective disposable aprons, uniform wash bags and 3D printed visors to St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke and the Friends of the Elderly Retired Nurses National Care Home in Bournemouth.

Jackie Ridge, Head of Fundraising at St Michael’s Hospice, said: “The PPE donation from Taylor Wimpey was a fantastic offer of help and on behalf of everyone here at St Michael’s Hospice, our patients and their families, we are so thankful for the support during this time.”
Cheryl Rothschild, Regional Director at Friends of the Elderly, said: “As a charity it makes such a difference to Friends of the Elderly and the Retired Nurses National Care Home to be able to top our stock of Personal Protective Equipment. We are so thankful for this wonderful donation from Taylor Wimpey which allows us to do so.”
