Recently our team from Benthall Farm in East Kilbride gave the local children of Crosshouse Primary School in the Greenhills area of East Kilbride some reminders about health and safety.
With construction of new homes at Benthall Farm on the outskirts of East Kilbride in full swing, we are keen to promote the dangers associated with playing near any construction site and to take the opportunity to raise awareness of the children’s need to be extra vigilant as the building of its new homes progresses.
Being proactive with local schools has proven an effective deterrent in the past as Brian Henderson, Production Director said: “Health and safety in and around our construction areas is of vital importance to Taylor Wimpey. Taking this type of proactive approach with local schools allows us to reinforce just how important it is for children to stay away from building sites, and it gives us the chance to remind the children that building sites are not playgrounds!"
Isabelle Murray, Headteacher at Crosshouse Primary School said: “I was delighted to welcome the team from Taylor Wimpey into our school to highlight the dangers associated with children playing near any construction site. It was the ideal opportunity for them to reinforce their safety message ahead of the February school break when many of our pupils will be enjoying their time away from the classroom.
“It’s great that Taylor Wimpey understands the importance of our children’s safety, and has created such an interactive and proactive approach to appeal to our pupils.”
