Our East Midlands team has donated £1,000 towards book vouchers to Market Harborough CofE Academy, in support of the school’s reading development project.

Early reading fluency is key to independent learning and this is something Market Harborough CofE Academy, a member of Learn Academies Trust, works towards achieving with all its pupils. The new books bought with the donation from us will be used to fill up the school’s library to encourage more children to get into the habit of reading.

Emma Tayler, Headteacher at Market Harborough CofE Academy, which is located near our Wellington Place development, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey on behalf of everyone at our school. We really appreciate the generous donation, which will go a long way towards new reading material. Books are a great way to fire up children’s imaginations and to teach them about the world around them, so it's brilliant to be able to add some new titles to our school library.”

Rob Curry, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, said: “We were delighted to support Market Harborough CofE Academy with a donation towards new books for their school library. We recognise how valuable it is for young children to enjoy reading books and we hope that the new titles will help inspire the children and fuel their imaginations.”
