Our West Scotland team has donated £5,000 to St. Vincent’s Hospice in Johnstone, in direct response to help the hospice’s fundraising shortfall due to the current health emergency.

West Scotland’s 2019 Summer Fundraiser raised thousands of pounds for this local charity that remains close to the hearts of many of the staff.  The plans for this year’s fundraising event have been suspended, but the team was still keen to do what they could to help in the current climate.

St. Vincent’s Hospice aims to provide access to the best possible care and support to everyone living with a life-limiting illness in the local community.  The Hospice has an Inpatient Unit with a multidisciplinary team to offer the best care that it can; Community Nurse Specialists to provide care and support at home, and it provides a range of supportive services to patients and their families.

Kate Lennon, Chief Executive at St Vincent’s Hospice said: “With the COVID-19 Pandemic impacting on everyday life, the response requested of our staff in the face of this situation has been enormous. The financial challenges for charity hospices remain urgent and we wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Taylor Wimpey from the bottom of our heart for their generous donation.”
