Our South East team has donated £200 towards decorations for a Christmas tree at Highland House Care Home in Canterbury.
Following a request from residents at the care home, a 12 foot tree has been put up in the courtyard and decorated with lights and ornaments to help get everyone in the festive spirit.
Commenting on the donation, Susan Johnson, Resident Manager at Highland House Care Home, said: “The festive period can be difficult for some of our residents, especially this year with limited visitors and restrictions, and we are always looking for ways to keep up morale. Our beautiful Christmas tree is loved by all of the residents and we are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for the donation they have given us toward this.”
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “It has been a difficult year for care homes and their residents and we’re pleased to have played a small part in spreading some Christmas cheer to residents of Highland House. The Christmas tree looks fantastic and we’re delighted to hear that it's loved by the residents. We wish everyone at Highland House a very merry Christmas.”
