We help children in Badshot Lea get creative

Date: Thursday 10 December 2020

Pupils from Badshot Lea Village Infant School recently took part in a creative competition with our West London team to design a postcard based on the theme “Welcome to your new home”.

Children from the school, between the ages of 4 and 7 years, entered the competition by drawing their designs, which were then shared with the team. The winner, Ava, age 5, will have her design printed on a postcard and displayed at our new development, Green Lane Meadows.

We also donated £250 towards the school’s outdoor play equipment as a thank you for taking part in the competition.

Gemma Ball, Headteacher at Badshot Lea Village Infant School, said: “We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West London for inviting the children to take part in the creative competition and the donation towards our outdoor equipment. We encourage opportunities where our children can be creative and also get involved in the community they are a part of. The children thoroughly enjoyed the competition and Ava was thrilled to see her design win.”

Gemma Bibby, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “Getting children to get creative is a fantastic way for them to learn about the world around them and to feed their imaginations. We enjoyed getting to see how creative children can be with their drawings and we’re thrilled to share Ava’s winning design with new residents at our Green Lane Meadows development.”
