The U7’s team at North Gawber Colliery FC has warmly accepted a donation of £500 towards the cost of new jackets from our Yorkshire regional team. The players will now be able to fight off the cold while standing pitch side at matches in the 2017/18 season.
Michael Dolan, Manager of the North Gawber U7s, commented: “The cost of running the team can really add up so we’ve very grateful for any donations we receive from businesses such as Taylor Wimpey. The players all look very smart and, best of all, the fact that they’re staying warm while off pitch helps to improve their game on the pitch.”
North Gawber Colliery FC is a Barnsley based charter standard club affiliated with the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA. The club is run solely by volunteers and has junior teams between U7s to U16s playing in the Huddersfield or Barnsley and District League.
Debbie Whittingham, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, commented: “We have many families at our Kingstone Grange development who all enjoy the facilities offered by their local football club, so we are delighted to offer our support. Clubs such as North Gawber Colliery FC provide a fantastic outlet for children to get fit and make some new friends in their local community and we look forward to working with it again soon.”
Michael concludes: “We look forward to welcoming some of the Kingstone Grange residents to our teams and seeing what the 2017/2018 season brings.”
