Our East London team have helped brighten up an Essex town by sponsoring £500 towards a planter for Maldon in Bloom, giving the community extra space for greenery.
Maldon in Bloom develops and maintains floral displays in the town, making it more enjoyable for residents and visitors alike, while also improving biodiversity. The committee regularly encourages schools and the surrounding business community to get involved with their projects.
Cllr Flo Shaughnessy, Town Mayor of Maldon, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this kind sponsorship which will go towards the planting, watering and maintenance of the floral display. The work that Maldon in Bloom undertake depends largely on fundraising and kind donations such as this one, so to be offered help to keep the town looking its best is just fantastic.”
Michael O'Leary, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East London, said: “Our work at Taylor Wimpey goes beyond just building high quality homes - we’re always keen to support local causes and show our commitment to the towns and villages surrounding our developments. Groups such as Maldon in Bloom are at the heart of small communities; contributing to the hard work they do is an absolute pleasure.”
