Towards the end of 2020 and to mark the start of construction of our Sinclair Gardens development in Roslin, we teamed up with the Roslin Community website to find four good causes to share in our Community Chest of £1,000. Six worthy causes from across the Roslin area were nominated and we increased our community chest to £1,500 meaning that all six local groups would receive a £250 boost to their bank accounts.

Each of the six organisations make a real difference to the local community in Roslin and the following groups are delighted to have received £250:

·         Roslin Men's Shed/Roslin Community Shed
·        Roslin Village Fete
·         Roslin Village Group - RVG
·         Royal British Legion
·         Glencorse Golf Club - Junior Section
·         Rosslyn Community Bowling Club

Kirsty McGill, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “Our Community Chest project with Roslin Village website was a great way to find out more about the groups and organisations that really do make a difference to the lives of people living in Roslin. We are looking forward to learning more about the projects that our donations will support and continuing to play our role in the local community as our development of new homes continues to progress.”

Jim Hiddleston of Roslin Village Group said: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey East Scotland for their support which will make such a difference to residents and also for working so closely with the Roslin & Bilston Community Council.”

Kenny Young, committee member and treasurer of Roslin Village Fete said: “This donation will go towards providing some form of entertainment for the children in the village on the day of our annual Village fete should we be allowed to have one this year. Donations like this from Taylor Wimpey make all the difference to what we can provide for the people of Roslin.”
