We delivered some festive sparkle after stepping up to sponsor Elstree and Borehamwood’s Christmas lights switch-on event.
We’re currently building high-quality homes at our Gemini Park development in Borehamwood, and as part of our commitment to the community we donated £500 to the Town Council to go towards the fun-filled festive switch-on, which took place on Sunday 30th November.
Visitors enjoyed a synthetic ice rink, a Christmas carousel, a concert in the church, a brass band, as well as festive mince pies, mulled wine, and coffee and juice in the local community centre.
Tracy Malton, Deputy Clerk at the Town Council, says: “We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their continued support by way of sponsorship.
“It goes without saying that the civic events that are put on are costly, and we did have a budget that we had to adhere to, therefore the sponsorship we received from Taylor Wimpey enabled us to give more to the community.
“The event was free to residents and visitors alike, and has not only been very popular with our residents, but also attracted people from outside of our area.”
Christine Scarborough, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “We were delighted to be able to make a contribution to the Elstree and Borehamwood Christmas lights switch-on event.
“As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were only too pleased to offer our support towards this fantastic festive day that brought an entire community together.”
