Our North Midlands region has provided a cash boost to help breathe life into Eccleshall village. Eccleshall in Bloom has received a £180 donation to provide fresh and colourful hanging baskets, manger flowers and trough planters to display for members of the community and visitors to enjoy.
The floral displays, which were planted by Vanessa Chapman and Gillian Bertram from Eccleshall in Bloom, provided the backdrop for the Eccleshall Festival from the 16th to 24th June, and will brighten up the town throughout the summer months.
Philip Baskerville, a member of Eccleshall Parish Council and Chairman of Eccleshall in Bloom, said: “It’s wonderful that the village now looks so attractive! The floral displays are something that everyone can enjoy and I am very pleased that businesses like Taylor Wimpey have supported us in making Eccleshall a pleasant place in which to live, work or to visit. Local businesses, voluntary societies and residents have, as usual, been very generous. We also receive dedicated support from Eccleshall Parish Council and Stafford Borough Council.”
Carl Cooke, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “We’re committed to making a positive contribution in the communities in which we build. We are delighted to be supporting Eccleshall’s floral arrangements this year and the mangers and baskets were erected at the beginning of June in time for the great, family fun-filled week of Eccleshall Festival.”
