As part of our ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, we have become the sponsor of a new trophy that will be presented to the winner of the Babcock Helensburgh Women’s 10K for the next three years. Our sponsorship during this period will also provide £125 prize money annually.
The Babcock Helensburgh 10K has run annually every year in May for the past 35 years, beginning life as part of the Polaroid 10K Series. Since 2017, the race has been part of the three race Babcock 10K Series and last year it attracted around 650 participants, which included Olympian, club and recreational runners of both sexes.
Our sponsorship marks a key milestone for our local Hermitage Grange development in Helensburgh, where the first new homebuyers are beginning to move in, and two show homes continue to provide buyers with the perfect opportunity to see for themselves just how stylish their move to the local area could be.
Commenting on the support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Kevin Johnson, Race Director of the Babcock Helensburgh 10K and Chairman of the Babcock 10K Series, said: “Until now we didn’t have a trophy for the women’s winner. We’re absolutely delighted to mark Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s arrival in Helensburgh with the launch of this prestigious new trophy, and we look forward to having the first opportunity to present it to the winning lady next May.”
