Earlier in the month, employees from the our North Thames regional office tied their laces and put their training into real life practise for the Berkhamsted Rotary Half Marathon and Fun Run. The local event, which was sponsored by the regional team, took place on Sunday 3rd March and allowed staff members to raise awareness for local charities, including The Pepper Foundation and The Hospice of St Francis, both of which focus on funding specialist teams to care for children and adults with life-limiting illness.
Taylor Wimpey North Thames was announced as the lead sponsor by donating £7,500 to the Berkhamsted Rotary Half Marathon and Fun Run which helped organisers to set up the annual event for its 37th year. This year the event welcomed over 1500 runners including seven of which were Taylor Wimpey employees. Finishers from the Half Marathon received a special shirt and all participants received a commemorative medal.
Jack Costello, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We are so pleased that a number of our employees had the opportunity to participate and show their support towards the Berkhamsted Rotary Half Marathon. The event was a huge success and we hope to see many more of our employees get involved in the event in the future. I’d like to say well done to everyone that took part.”
