NEWS - TWWS - Local school playground project

Our West Scotland team have donated £500 to Wester Overton Primary School to help the school with its fundraising project that aims to transform the school’s playground into a more inspiring place for its school and nursery school children to play in.

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: “We are committed to building high-quality new homes and making sure that our developments like Avondale Gardens in Strathaven are sustainable and positively contribute to local communities.

“Education, transport infrastructure and community facilities are all among the areas that benefit from planning contributions, but we are also delighted to have the opportunity to get involved in local projects like this that can make a real difference to groups and organisations on our doorstep.

“Wester Overton Primary has an ambitious plan to make some significant changes to their playground for the benefit of every child who attends the nursery or school, and we’re delighted to be able to make this contribution towards their project.”

Mandy Thompson, Head Teacher at Wester Overton Primary School added:  “Along with our Parent Council, we are currently fundraising for a project to completely transform our school grounds. We're hoping to be able to regenerate the area completed to introduce spaces for creativity, seating, shelter, active play and access to nature.  We’re delighted that Taylor Wimpey has made this donation to boost our efforts.”
