Our East Anglia team has donated £2,000 to the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) to help protect the crew during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The EAAA aspires to help the seriously ill or injured by dispatching highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air or car. The charity has had to adapt its operating procedures and source additional personal protective equipment (PPE) quickly, in a bid to keep its crews safe.
An emergency appeal was recently launched by the charity as they struggled to cover these significant, and unbudgeted, costs.
Sophie Williams, Community Fundraising Manager, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to have received this generous donation from Taylor Wimpey. It’s vital our crews have sufficient PPE to keep them protected as they operate on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic. We feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive and generous community, who even in these difficult times, are helping to keep us flying and saving lives.”
Caroline Carter, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, said: “The EAAA makes a huge difference to the local community, now even more than ever. While they’re fighting to help the public, it’s important that they too are kept safe. In such difficult and unprecedented times, it means a great deal that we are able to offer our support to such a worthy cause.”
