The We Love Manchester Emergency Fund has been awarded £1,000 from our regional team after being announced as the chosen cause from our community donation competition.
People at our Manchester head office voted for a good cause close to their hearts to receive a helping hand. The Manchester-based charity received the most nominations for its work supporting all those affected by the attack in Manchester on 22nd May 2017.
The fund supports the families of those who lost their lives in the attack, those who were physically injured and is one of the first organisations of its kind to also provide support for people who are suffering psychologically in the aftermath of the tragic incident.
Commenting on the donation from Taylor Wimpey, Edith Conn, chair of trustees for the charity comments: ‘’On behalf of the Trustees I'd like to send our sincere thanks to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation of £1,000 to the Emergency Fund.
“All money raised will go directly to the victims of that terrible night including the families of the 22 people who lost their lives and to the many others who were injured, some of whom face life changing injuries. Every penny donated to the Fund is making a real difference to the lives of the victims and is most gratefully received''.
Chloe Dunn, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “The attack last year, was one that affected everyone, not only in and around Manchester, but also everyone who loves this city.
“Manchester is the place we are proud to call our home and this charity has done so much to support those who suffered in the aftermath of the tragic attack. The support they provide is invaluable and we’re very proud to be supporting the Fund. We hope that our donation will help them to continue to provide much-needed services for all those affected.”
