As part of its ongoing commitment to working with the local community, our West London regional team recently invited children from Adventure Pre-School in Andover to take a tour of its nearby development, Saxon Heights at Augusta Park.
The group of 14 children aged between three and four, were able to learn about the importance of health and safety on a building site, whilst sporting Taylor Wimpey hats and high visibility jackets. Sales Executives Carole and Sophie were on hand to show the children and nursery staff round and also sent them home with some colouring sheets.
With the build of the houses at Saxon Heights now complete and a new phase on the site opening soon, the development was the perfect setting for the children to start learning about building new homes and road and site safety.
Nikki Gibson, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “Teaching children about health and safety near building sites is something we take very seriously. Although these children are some of the youngest we’ve had to our development, we’re proud to be able to educate them early on and let them have some fun taking a look round the new homes too.”
Felicity Knight, Assistant Manager at Adventure Pre-School commented: “'The children had a really exciting morning visiting the building site at Saxon Heights. They particularly enjoyed spotting all the different vehicles and guessing what they were used for and exploring the space of the new home.”
