Come rain or shine, the dedicated Weddington Sports Junior Football Club Under 10’s team undergo regular training sessions, and thanks to our Midlands teams the group can now be seen sporting a brand new kit. As part of the ongoing commitment to help the communities in which it builds, our Midlands and West Midlands regions joined forces to offer Weddington Sports JFC a £1,000 sponsorship for a fresh kit.

Based in Newton, Weddington Sports JFC was established in 2008 and is home to two teams who train at the Etone School Sports Fields in Nuneaton. In amongst the smart navy and black home strip, our logo now takes centre stage on the Under 10’s new kit.

Commenting on Taylor Wimpey’s donation James Edmonds, Club Chairman at Weddington Sports JFC said: “We are really grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s support and we cannot thank them enough for their generous donation of £1,000 towards the Under 10’s kit. The boys were in much need of this, so everyone was over the moon when they heard the news.”

Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, commented: “I’m glad to hear that our joint donation with Taylor Wimpey West Midlands has been put to good use at Weddington Sports JFC. We are committed to making a positive contribution across the Midlands, so it was our pleasure to offer the club a £1,000 donation. The new kit looks incredibly smart and I hope the team enjoy showing it off.”

Commenting on the donation, Elaine Cartwright, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “We are always looking to give something back to local communities, so it was a privilege to be able to offer Weddington Sports Junior Football Club the financial backing they needed to give the boys a new kit.”
