Our Midlands and West Midlands teams, which recently launched two brand new developments in Weddington near Nuneaton, are showing their support for young local football players.
Our two business units joined forces to donate more than £1,000 to Weddington Thistle Junior Football Club U18s, which plays in the Tamworth Junior Football League, to provide 16 away shirts for the match day squad and 20 sweatshirts for the whole squad.
Stewart Pratt, Team Manager, says: “We hadn’t got enough funds for the away shirts, which the league specifies you need in case of a colour clash with your opponents, so this donation has really helped us out.
“And getting the sweatshirts for the players is a real bonus – they’ll be great for training as the weather gets colder and will really make them feel part of the team when they’re turning up for matches.
“Big thanks to Taylor Wimpey for helping us out – it’s much appreciated by myself and the lads!”
Elaine Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, says: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Weddington Thistle Junior Football Club and hope they have a successful season wearing their new kit!”
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, adds: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes. This partnership with Weddington Thistle is a great example of the way we can help clubs and organisations which play such an important role in local community life.”
There’s a superb choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available at Cotton Grange at The Farm, while Milby Hall at The Farm currently features a range of three and four-bedroom designs.
