TWSW Dance World Cup

Our South Wales team has sponsored the Nicola Peros Ballet School for the second year running with a donation of £1,500. The donation will provide funding towards new tracksuits, tights and ballet shoes to enable young dancers from the ages of nine to 13 to look their best for an international tournament, The Dance World Cup, later this year.

The Dance World Cup, which is taking place in Portugal in June 2019, is an event involving 20,000 competitors from 54 countries and eight ballet dancers from the Nicola Peros Ballet School will be taking part in the contest.

Nicola Peros, founder and principal at the Nicola Peros Ballet School, said: “The Dance World Cup is a highlight tournament for my pupils who spend months perfecting their dance routines in order to perform to the best of their ability at such a well respected competition. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their kind donation towards the tracksuits, tights and ballet shoes which look fantastic on the pupils.

“The dancers are thrilled to be able to wear their new tracksuits at the Dance World Cup in June and it’s lovely to be able to provide them with beautiful tracksuits that match their dancing abilities.”

Sara Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Wales, said: “Organisations like the Nicola Peros Ballet School, do such great work in the local community by giving youngsters the chance to join a team, learn new skills and make friends. Nicola has had a positive influence on dancers of all ages from the Barry and Cardiff areas for many years so we are delighted to be able to support the pupils by funding new tracksuits, tights and ballet shoes for the Dance World Cup. We wish the team great success in the tournament and beyond as they continue to develop their skills.”
