A football team in Leicester has kicked off the new season in style after scoring sponsorship for their new kit.
Western Park Rangers – who play at Western Park which is just three miles away from our Grangewood Manor development in Leicester Forest East – have purchased brand new match day kit bearing our logo thanks to our donation of £500.
The team, which comprises 18 players aged between 20 and 28, play every Sunday at the park and have recently been promoted to Division One of the Leicester Sunday Football League.
Team manager Steven Coleman says: “All of us at the Western Park Rangers would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generous sponsorship of our kit.
“As we’ve recently moved up a league, the competition is certainly getting tougher and tougher for us, but its help like this that really keeps the team going.
“A lot of young people come to the club to enjoy themselves, have a laugh and get active – and sponsorship for the kit means we can afford other vital things like pitch fees and new equipment, which is just fantastic.”
Mariana Knight, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were only too pleased to fund some new kit for the Western Park Rangers.
“I wish the team all the best for the rest of the football season, and we hope that the new kit leads to many successful results on the pitch!”
Grangewood Manor currently has a selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes available.
