Leeds-based Whinmoor Juniors FC’s U9s team has received brand-new kits, courtesy of our Yorkshire business unit.
Our £500 donation will fund brand new training and match-day wear for the team, which will be particularly useful for the winter months.
Mark Wager, U9s team manager at Whinmoor Juniors, says: “Like many other clubs, we are a not-for-profit organisation that relies on support from businesses in the area – and this helps to keep grassroots football alive in the community.
“We’re extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation, which will help our players feel more comfortable while training and playing matches. They’re so excited to wear their new kits!”
Alongside the 20-player strong U9s team, Whinmoor Juniors currently has five junior teams in total, ranging from U8s to U16s.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “Sports clubs like Whinmoor Juniors are extremely important for local communities, and encourage talented youths to get involved in sport to remain active.
“We’re very proud to sponsor the U9s team with a new training kit and hope it helps improve their sessions during winter. Good luck for next season boys!”
Mark concludes: “On behalf of the entire club, we’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their support and hope to partner with them on future projects.”
Our Sycamore Park development on York Road in Whinmoor features a selection of three, four and five-bedroom properties and is just a short distance away from the club’s grounds.
