Wigton Moor Junior AFC has received a cash boost from our team at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, which will help fund a five-day trip to Holland in May for the girls U13s team.

The U13s team currently has 13 players and our £200 donation will be used towards brand new kits for the team to wear on tour.

Chris Blythe, team manager at Wigton Moor Junior AFC, says: “The girls are extremely excited to begin their Dutch tour, which will hopefully enable them to play in future international competitions.

“Without Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation, our U13s team would not be able to train in matching uniforms, which ultimately gives the players a sense of pride and unity.”

Wigton Moor Junior AFC’s U13s team was established in 2010 and currently plays in the West Riding Girls Football league in Division One.

Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “With our Sycamore Park development nearby Wigton Moor, we were really keen to help the girls’ team where we could for their upcoming tour.

“We wish all the players luck in Holland and hope they enjoy wearing their new kits on tour.”

Chris concludes: “Everyone at Wigton Moor is extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s support and proud to be associated with a developer that continually supports and invests in its community.”

Sycamore Park currently has a selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes available.
