Thousands of pet photographs have been entered into our hugely-popular Pets Make A Home photography competition.
We’ve been inviting pet owners to submit pictures of their animals looking ‘at home’ in the hope of winning a £1,000 cash prize and we’ve already received a massive 4,000 fantastic photographs of cats, dogs and other pets lounging around the house.
The photo that earns the most votes each day wins one of a range of fabulous pet-related prizes, while the animal with the most votes overall at the end of the competition will win £1,000.
This week’s daily winners include Staffordshire bull terrier Dexter and deaf rescue dog Mozart, who is being looked after by Claire Koehl of AA Gog Rescue.
Olivia Kennedy’s three dogs Rocky, Larry and Frank won the daily vote on Wednesday, followed by Yvonne Davidson’s sun-bathing pooch Sam on Thursday.
Wotsit the bunny, pictured above, owned by Chloe Murray, was Friday’s winner, while another Staffordshire bull terrier William was our final daily winner of the week.
The competition was launched on 31st March to coincide with National Pet Month and entries will be accepted until 5th May. Pet-owners can enter photos of their pet by clicking here and entering their details via the specially created app.
Twitter and Instagram users can also enter by tweeting or posting their image via their own account with the hashtag #TWPetsMakeAHome. Entrants will receive a response message thanking them for their entry as confirmation.
People can then visit our website and Facebook page to view the entries and vote for their favourite pet!
Entries submitted on any calendar date will count towards that date’s prize, regardless of what time the photograph was submitted. In order to give people the chance to place their vote for entries submitted later in the day, votes are collected until 7.30am the following day.
