Young footballers in Didcot have received a major boost after we pledged £500 to fund brand new training equipment for the Didcot Town Youth FC’s U7s White Team.
The money was spent on new goals, footballs, markers, speed rings, training hoops and poles, speed ladders, corner poles and pop-up goals. The team also purchased a number of large training bags to keep the new equipment safe and tidy.
Head coach Mark Watson says: “We can’t say thank you enough to Taylor Wimpey – £500 is a lot of money so we really do appreciate it.
“We are going to have this kit for years and when the current team is finished the next generation will benefit from the equipment.
“The kids are so excited to come to training and they are learning so much – Taylor Wimpey is now a part of that.”
Nikki Gibson, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our support to the U7s White Team at Didcot Town Youth Football Club.
“We hope the children thoroughly enjoy their training sessions with their brand new equipment, and we wish them the very best of luck for the season ahead.”
