We’ve been educating the children of Doncaster on the importance of health and safety, by sharing a special protection presentation with pupils.

Westways Primary School is one of the first schools to benefit from a school safety presentation, which is just minutes away from our Westlands development in Auckley.

Keith Chester, Site Administrator for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, explains: “With our Westlands development located nearby several schools, we were keen to kick-start this initiative to help teachers and young children assess and eliminate potential risks associated with the home and the housebuilding process.

“We have produced a 45-minute presentation including a short film about the dangers encountered when three children find themselves on a construction site; and we also look at safety in the home – including the garage, under the kitchen sink and chemicals.”

Our presentation is aimed at children between the ages of seven and 11, and pupils at schools across Doncaster will have the opportunity of dressing up in personal protection equipment.

Keith adds: “We are hoping this partnership between Taylor Wimpey and Westways Primary School is another in a long list in Doncaster and the wider Yorkshire area. There’s a genuine desire and dedication from all the teachers and staff to ensure the children are safe and fully aware as to the dangers of the outside world, and we’re only too delighted to be onboard.”

A modern collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes is currently on sale at Westlands.
