Date: Wednesday 16 December 2015
We’ve been helping community spirit grow this festive season after our employees at The Grange development in Hailsham, East Sussex, lent their support to create a ‘Giving Tree’.
Two children who live at The Grange – Charlotte and Elodie Spicer – joined forces with our South Thames team to set up a Christmas tree at the development’s Sales Information Centre for people to donate items of food to Hailsham Food Bank.
The food bank is set up to support local people in need of help and provides food for those who would normally struggle to afford it.
Donations are being collected at the Sales Information Centre until Sunday 20th December 2015, with all items being delivered to Hailsham Food Bank in time for the Christmas period.
For those who wish to make a donation to the Giving Tree, certain items of food are required. These include canned goods, tea bags, instant coffee, tinned puddings, biscuits, snack bars, long life fruit juice, tinned meat and fish, and any other Christmas treats that will help people celebrate the festive season.
Sarah Pasco, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, says: “We’re delighted to be supporting the local community to help as many people as possible this Christmas.
“For some it can be a struggle to afford food, so we feel it’s extremely important to help those in need. We’d like to say thank you to Charlotte and Elodie for all of their hard work to set up the Giving Tree!”
The Sales Information Centre at The Grange is located off Hempstead Lane, Hailsham, BN27 3FX, and is open daily from 10am to 5pm for anyone who would like to make a donation.
