"When we went to look around two different view homes at Broughton Fields in Milton Keynes I was really taken with them, and that feeling hasn’t left me since. Ever since moving in, we’ve been really pleased with the house. Downstairs is such a lovely space; we’ve got a fantastic kitchen and separate dining room, plus a spacious lounge with French doors that open to the garden.
"All three bedrooms are of a good size, and our master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which is a real treat. The outside space is wonderful as it’s a walled garden, which has a lovely feel to it, and the front of the property has a porch – great for keeping the cold out and if you want one on an older house, you normally have to add it yourself.
"Everybody who visits us comments on how welcoming, light and bright the house is, and when they find out the price, they think we’ve got a very, very good buy.
"When you get a little older, the last thing you want to be worrying about is the amount of things that can go wrong with your home, or need fixing. That put us off from buying an older property, and I’m glad to say we made the right choice. The only thing that I have needed to do is make a few cosmetic touches to what was a stunning blank canvas.
"Not only is everything how we would like it, but we also have the peace of mind of a two-year George Wimpey warranty, and a 10-year National House-Building Council guarantee.”
