“We were out cycling one day when we came across Oaklands at Crookham Park. We really liked the look of the development – especially the location – so we decided to make an appointment with the Sales Executive.
“We had been thinking about buying a house together for a while but not found the right property locally. We both owned properties that we were renting out, and renting another together, so it made sense for us both to consolidate our properties and get a place together.
“Neither of us thought we wanted a new-build house but Taylor Wimpey offered really good value. Plus owning an older property can become a constant battle – and I am definitely not a DIY kind-of person! Nicola is actually far more practical but as she commutes to London daily this does not offer her any extra time.
“We really liked the open-plan downstairs layout in the ‘Silver Birch’, and we loved the master en-suite bedroom which takes up the whole top floor – it’s a massive space!
“Because we reserved early we were able to choose our plot. We chose a lovely corner plot which overlooks the fields and includes a double garage. We also got to personalise our home with all the options before we moved in.
“Paul the Sales Executive was extremely helpful. We went back to the sales office so many times to look at different combinations and ways we could personalise our home, and nothing was too much trouble for him.
“The development is coming along really well now. There’s so much character because every house has its own individual style unlike most other new developments where all of the properties look exactly the same.
“When we moved in we invited our neighbours over for tea and cake which meant we got to meet everyone, which was really nice. We have created a street Facebook page to help each other out too as well as there being the already established Crookham Park Residents page.
“We’ve both settled in really well – and our pets love the new house too! We are really pleased with how the whole process went with Taylor Wimpey.”
