Lauren and Liam Nimmo were thrilled to find their dream first home at our Herdwick Gate development in Shipston-on-Stour.

The couple, who were previously living with family after moving out of their rented apartment, were keen to stay in the town of Shipston-on-Stour which they have called home for the past few years. Once they heard about the Herdwick Gate development, they decided to begin looking for their new home.

After visiting and researching other properties, Lauren (29) and Liam (30) were drawn to our two bedroom Ashenford house type. They secured their new home with the help of the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme and completed their move in October 2019.

Liam and Lauren started their home buying journey in early 2019 and once they had chosen their home they were able to personalise it with a choice of tiles, flooring and kitchen design. Liam said: “We love the open plan living room and kitchen and to be able to customise these spaces and make them our own was great. Our family and friends live locally so we are able to have space to entertain when they visit.”

Lauren said: “To find a house in the town we have lived in for so long was important to us. We wanted somewhere we could really call home and we feel we have found that at Herdwick Gate. We found that the Help to Buy scheme was the best choice for us as we are just stepping onto the property ladder.

“Herdwick Gate is in a great location for shops and amenities. I am a teacher in Oxfordshire so I only have a 20 minute commute which is incredibly handy.”

The couple have now settled into their surroundings and added: “The whole team at Herdwick Gate were so helpful. There is nothing we would change about our house buying decision and we look forward to many years in our dream home.”
