“We looked at several places and decided to buy at Wellington Park because it seemed to offer the best value for money in the area as well as being reasonably close to where we both work.
“Originally we looked at two-bedroom coach houses and then three-bedroom houses, but we were surprised to find out that we could afford a four-bedroom home. We were advised to buy the best house we could afford, as Help to Buy won’t be available forever, so we did.
“We always liked the idea of a three-storey house and we were really impressed by the size of the rooms when we saw the showhome in the housetype we are buying. There’s a big living room, all the bedrooms are a good size, and the master bedroom is really large – in fact it’s bigger on its own than the one room we’re currently living in!”
“As first-time buyers, we’re really new to this type of thing and the level of support Karen, the Sales Executive at Wellington Park, has given us has been really good all the way through.
“We completed really quickly – from when we said we initially wanted the house through to signing the contract only took a month.
“And Paul, the independent financial advisor they put us in touch with, was also fantastic with the advice he gave us.
“For our new home, we’ve chosen the kitchen cupboards, work surfaces, carpets, tiles, an extra shower – there’s lots of things. It will be nice to have things exactly as we want them.”.
